Sky Orders Nick Hornby Adaptation ‘Funny Girl’, Gemma Arterton To Star
Sky has ordered Funny Girl, a comedy drama series adaptation of the Nick Hornby novel of the same name. Gemma Arterton (Their Finest, Black Narcissus) is attached to star in the lead role. 
Channel 4 is reuniting with Robert Popper. The broadcaster has ordered I Hate You, a six episode comedy series that hails from the Friday Night Dinner creator. Tanya Reynold (Sex Education) and newcomer Melissa Saint are attached to star. 
BBC One has ordered The Gold, a six episode drama series that is inspired by the true story of the Brink’s-Mat robbery and the decades-long chain of events that followed.
BBC One has handed out a six episode series order to Black Ops, a police comedy thriller that hails from Gbemisola Ikumelo, Akemnji Ndifornyen, Joe Tucker and Lloyd Woolf.
The Cleaner will premiere on BBC One on Friday September 10th at 9:30pm, it has been announced.
