Andrew Robertson & Henry Imbert Launch Entertainment Indie Very Nice – TVWise

Veteran producers Andrew Robertson and Henry Imbert have teamed together to launch Very Nice, a new independent production company based in Scotland that will specialise in entertainment formats.
The duo have a wealth of entertainment experience and pride themselves on launching an authentic Scottish indie. Very Nice will be based in Glasgow and will produce innovative, exciting shows and formats across a plethora of platforms.
“At Very Nice we are focusing on entertainment shows and formats. Although there are many great factual-entertainment production companies in Scotland, we will be the first purely entertainment-focussed production company that is a genuine Scottish indie”, said Andrew Robertson, Managing Director of Very Nice. “Between Henry and I, we have a huge amount of production experience and we want to build on that and make great shows that are both innovative and exciting, and we’re keen to work alongside other Scottish indies in the future.”
Robertson becomes MD of Very Nice after serving as Head of Entertainment for Mentorn Media, a role that he was promoted to in December 2016 having been at Mentorn Scotland for the previous year as EP for Robot Wars. He oversaw all entertainment commissions for the company including the development of new formats. Prior to Mentorn, Robertson held roles at STV, Tigress, Zeppetron and Endemol,
Imbert, who will serve as Creative Director at the new indie, got his start at Endemol in 2007 and in the past decade has worked in development on multiple platforms for Princess, Endemol, Shine, Little Dot, The Guardian, Keshet, STV and ITV. His producing credits include Big Brother, Britain’s Got Talent, The Paul O’Grady Show and Robot Wars. “Innovative entertainment formats are our sole focus”, he said. “We are dedicated to building the business to provide exciting and subversive cross-platform formats.”
