The second season of The CW’s drama series The Flash will receive its UK premiere on Sky1 on Tuesday October 13th at 8pm, it has been announced.
The Flash follows Barry Allen, a scientist who, through a freak accident, is given the power of super speed that transforms him into the Fastest Man Alive. The drama series is produced by Warner Bros. Television and stars Grant Gustin (Arrow), Rick Cosnett (The Vampire Diaries), Danielle Panabaker (Necessary Roughness), Jesse L. Martin (Law & Order), Candice Patton (The Game), Tom Cavanagh (Royal Pains) and Carlos Valdes.
The opening episode of the show’s second season, titled The Man Who Saved Central City, picks up months after the Singularity attacked Central City and Barry is still struggling to forgive himself for Eddie’s death. Concerned about putting his friends in danger, Barry has pushed everyone away and has chosen to protect the city on his own. When a meta-human named Atom Smasher (guest star Adam Copeland) attacks the city, Iris tells Barry that he needs to let his friends help him protect the citizens of Central City. Meanwhile, Cisco helps Joe with his Meta Task Force.
