BBC Two Orders Sara Pascoe Comedy Series

After piloting the project as a Blap last year, Channel 4 has handed out a six episode series order to Nida Manzoor's music comedy Lady Parts. Lady Parts follows the highs and lows of the band Lady Parts as seen through the eyes of Amina Hussein – a geeky PHD student who is recruited to be their unlikely lead guitarist. But will she be the key to the band’s success? And – will she finally find a husband?
Sky Atlantic has ordered I Hate Suzie, an eight episode drama series about "the moment in life when the mask slips", which hails from Billie Piper and Lucy Prebble. In addition to co-creating, Billie Piper will also lead the cast.
Channel 4 has renewed Rufus Jones' Syrian refugee comedy Home for a second season. The show's second season was commissioned by Channel 4's Head of Comedy Fiona McDermott and Commissioning Executive Laura Riseam.
There She Goes is coming back. The BBC has renewed the comedy drama for a five episode second season. As part of said renewal, the series is also moving from BBC Four to BBC Two.
Sky is adding to their portfolio of channels. The satcaster has announced plans to launch a dedicated comedy channel, Sky Comedy, in February 2020. Additionally, they have secured the UK rights to NBC comedy series' A.P. Bio and Sunnyside, both of which will air on Sky Comedy.
The story of Spotify is coming to television. Yellow Bird UK has optioned the TV rights to Spotify Untold (Spotify Inifrån), a tell-all book about the secretive start-up that evolved to become one of the world’s leading music services. The Banijay owned production company is planning on developing the book into a limited series. The adaptation will examine how a secretive start-up wooed record companies, shook the music industry to its core, and conquered Wall Street. A tale of tech entrepreneurship, this is a journey beset with egos, obstacles, and betrayal. Central to the narrative is Spotify’s turbulent journey into the US market; a chess match between the new kids and the old guard, with Steve Jobs himself stepping in to frustrate their progress.
A Game Of Cat And Mouse - the tenth entry in Hallmark’s series of Aurora Teagarden TV movies – will receive its UK premiere on Movies 24 on Sunday September 29th at 3pm, it has been announced. In A Game Of Cat And Mouse, when someone begins taunting Aurora Teagarden (Candace Cameron Bure) with cryptic clues left at crime scenes, the librarian-turned-crime buff attempts to figure out who is behind the creepy “game.” But when the people closest to Aurora become targets, the game takes on a much more dangerous edge as it points to a planned murder.
