Sky Witness Sets UK Return Date for Law & Order: Special Victims Unit Season 21

Sky Witness has set a UK return date for the twenty-first season of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, with the crime drama beginning on Tuesday December 10th at 10pm.

The new season marks a change of channel for the series in the UK, moving from Universal to Sky Witness. The shift follows Comcast’s acquisition of Sky, which brought NBCUniversal’s UK programming under the same roof, and has already seen other titles such as Chicago Med make the same move.

Season twenty-one is a landmark run, the one that made Special Victims Unit the longest-running prime-time drama in American television history. Mariska Hargitay returns as Lieutenant Olivia Benson, alongside Ice-T as Sergeant Fin Tutuola, Kelli Giddish as Detective Amanda Rollins and Peter Scanavino as Dominick Carisi.

The season opens with Benson and the squad taking on a powerful media mogul, played by guest star Ian McShane, after he is accused of sexual assault. It first aired in the United States on NBC in September.
