ITV2 has acquired the UK rights to four new American series, picking up the supernatural drama 666 Park Avenue alongside the comedies Animal Practice, Ben and Kate and Up All Night.
666 Park Avenue, an ABC drama, is set in The Drake, a grand Manhattan apartment building with sinister secrets. Terry O’Quinn and Vanessa Williams play its owners, with Rachael Taylor and Dave Annable as the young couple who take over running the building.
On the comedy side, NBC’s Animal Practice stars Justin Kirk as a gifted New York vet who much prefers animals to people, complete with a capuchin monkey sidekick. Fox’s Ben and Kate, from creator Dana Fox, pairs Dakota Johnson as a single mother with Nat Faxon as her well-meaning but chaotic older brother.
Rounding out the haul is Up All Night, the NBC comedy starring Christina Applegate and Will Arnett as a couple finding their feet as new parents, with Maya Rudolph alongside them.
