Sky Vision Secures International Distribution Rights To 'BattleBots' Season 4 – TVWise

Sky Vision has secured the international distribution rights to the fourth season of BattleBots after striking a deal with BattleBots Inc. and Whalerock Studios LLC. They will handle global sales in all territories excluding the United States.
BattleBots sees some of the world’s strongest robots, built by enthusiastic amateurs, battle against each other in a knockout tournament until one champion wins the coveted Giant Nut. The series previously aired on ABC before relocating to Discovery Channel and Science Channel for season eight.
The move to pick up season four comes after Sky Vision previously repped the first three seasons of the show. The production and distribution arm of satcater Sky has lined up sales for BattleBots in more than 150 territories, including: Germany, France, Spain, Ireland, Portugal, Turkey, Canada, Australia, Thailand, Latin America and Asia.
“The BattleBots series have been huge hits internationally, with audiences all over the world hooked on the action of the world’s largest robot fighting competition”, said Barnaby Shingleton, Sky Vision’s Director of Entertainment & Factual. “This time we’re able to offer an even longer series of 30 hours for loyal fans across the globe.”
