The second season of BBC Two’s hit drama series The Fall will premiere on Thursday November 13th at 9pm, it has been announced.
The show’s second season picks up 10 days after the season one finale which saw serial killer Paul Spector (Jamie Dornan) evading the police investigation headed by Detective Superintendent Stella Gibson (Gillian Anderson). A personal link from Spector’s past opens up some clues for Gibson but provokes Spector in ways that threatens to jeopardise the whole investigation. Gibson is forced to take ever greater risks but the closer she comes to capturing him, the more Spector trespasses into her private world, delighting in taunting and provoking her. As the net gradually tightens around him he becomes psychologically ever more dangerous and destructive.
BBC Two’s highest rated drama series in more than a decade, The Fall was created by Allan Cubitt and is produced for BBC Two by Artists Studio, with Gillian Anderson, Stephen Wright, Allan Cubitt, Patrick Irwin and Justin Thomson-Glover serving as executive producers.
