Ivory Coast v Norway Live Stream, TV Channel

Ivory Coast have reached the knockout stages of a World Cup for the first time in their history, and Emerse Fae’s side will be desperate to make sure the occasion is more than a mere novelty when they face Norway in Dallas.

Les Elephants came into the tournament on a four game winning streak and carried that momentum into their opener, beating Ecuador 1-0.

They came up short on matchday two, with a 2-1 defeat to Germany in Toronto despite taking the lead through Franck Kessie, before Nicolas Pepe scored twice to see off Curacao 2-0 and secure second place in Group E.

That win over Curacao marked Fae’s third clean sheet in his last five games, and with Pepe and Yan Diomande both in fine form, Ivory Coast carry a genuine attacking threat into this tie.

Right sided centre back Wilfried Singo remains a doubt with a hamstring injury, with Ousmane Diomande and Odilon Kossounou expected to continue at the heart of the defence.

Norway are playing at their first World Cup in 28 years, and Erling Haaland has been the difference maker throughout their campaign so far.

The Manchester City striker scored twice in the opening 4-1 win over Iraq and grabbed another brace in a 3-2 win over Senegal, taking his staggering international scoring record to 59 goals in 52 caps.

Haaland was rested for a 4-1 defeat to France in their final group game, and Norway struggled badly without him, failing to lay a glove on Les Bleus.

Stale Solbakken’s side have kept just one clean sheet in their last ten matches, so their defensive frailties could play right into Ivory Coast’s hands tonight.

Right back Julian Ryerson is a doubt with a thigh injury, with Fredrik Aursnes potentially shifting across to cover if needed. Haaland is back in for this one and will lead the line once again, supported by Martin Odegaard and Sander Berge in midfield.

This looks set to be an open and attacking contest between two sides who both carry a goal threat but have shown defensive vulnerabilities at this tournament.

With both teams to score a real possibility, Dallas could be the venue for a memorable round of 32 night.
