Netherlands v Sweden on TV: Live Streaming Details
Netherlands v Sweden will be shown live in the UK on BBC One, with kick off at 6:00pm BST. The match takes place at Houston Stadium (NRG Stadium) in Texas.
Netherlands go into this match third in Group F after being held to a 2-2 draw by Japan in their opener, having twice led through goals from Virgil van Dijk and Crysencio Summerville before Japan levelled late on.
Ronald Koeman is expected to name an unchanged side, with Frenkie de Jong, Ryan Gravenberch and Tijjani Reijnders continuing in midfield and Cody Gakpo keeping his place despite a below-par first game.
Memphis Depay’s fitness remains a concern and he is again likely to feature from the bench rather than from the start.
A point here would leave Netherlands needing a positive result against Tunisia in their final group game to secure progress, while a win would put them firmly in control of their own destiny.
Sweden arrive in Houston having made the perfect start, thrashing Tunisia 5-1 in their opener with Viktor Gyokeres and Alexander Isak both on the scoresheet alongside a superb brace from the impressive Yasin Ayari.
Graham Potter’s side would secure their place in the knockout rounds with a win here, and could even top the group if Japan fail to beat Tunisia in the other Group F fixture.
Isak, who joined Liverpool in a record deal last summer, started the tournament in brilliant form and is expected to lead the line again alongside Gyokeres. Lucas Bergvall and Anthony Elanga are both likely to have to make do with places on the bench given how well the starting 11 performed against Tunisia.
The two sides have met 25 times in all competitions, with Netherlands holding the edge on 12 wins to Sweden’s eight. Their only previous World Cup meeting came in 1974, finishing 0-0, with the Dutch going on to reach the final before losing to West Germany.
