West Brom v QPR Live Stream Details

Two of the early surprises of the season meet here. West Brom sit top of the Championship and QPR are fourth, which few would have forecast in August.

The turnaround at The Hawthorns has been sharp. James Morrison took over after a relegation scrap and the club’s worst league finish since the turn of the century, and has them on back to back 1-0 wins over Watford and Derby County.

Wednesday’s win at Pride Park was only their second there since 1919. Aune Heggebo got the goal, set up by Jimmy-Jay Morgan, who now has six goal contributions in his first six games in the division.

A third straight league win would be a first since September 2024. Doing it will mean navigating a right-back problem, with Brayann Pereira suspended after being sent off 34 minutes into his debut and Noah Galves hurting his knee at Derby.

Callum Styles shifting across the back four is the likeliest fix, with Conor Townsend on the left.

QPR have lost only one of their opening six under Julien Stephan, who is in his second spell in charge. That follows four straight bottom-half finishes, so the mood in west London has lifted considerably.

They could not find a way past Charlton on Wednesday despite the hosts failing to register a shot on target, and the 0-0 draw came at a cost. Tariq Lamptey, a free agent signing from Brighton in the summer, and Jimmy Dunne both went off injured.

Both are expected to miss out here, joining Richard Kone, Ilias Chair and Karamoko Dembele on the sidelines. QPR also beat Blackburn Rovers 2-1 earlier in the campaign.

The record at this ground is not encouraging for the visitors. QPR have not won any of their last seven Championship trips to West Brom, and their most recent success at The Hawthorns came in a Premier League game back in April 2015.
