Germany v Ivory Coast on TV: Live Streaming Details

Germany go into this match as the form side in the tournament, having hammered Curacao 7-1 in their Group E opener to record the biggest win at this summer’s World Cup.

Felix Nmecha opened the scoring before Curacao pulled one back, but Julian Nagelsmann’s side responded emphatically, with Kai Havertz scoring twice alongside goals from Nico Schlotterbeck, Jamal Musiala, Nathaniel Brown and substitute Deniz Undav.

Undav was outstanding off the bench and is pushing hard to start here, having now directly contributed to 11 goals in just 10 senior international appearances. Nagelsmann is nevertheless expected to stick with his first-choice front four of Leroy Sane, Musiala, Florian Wirtz and Havertz, with Undav providing a threat from the bench.

At 40, Manuel Neuer will again start in goal, making him the oldest German ever to play at a World Cup, protected by the same back four of Joshua Kimmich, Jonathan Tah, Schlotterbeck and Brown.

Ivory Coast arrive in Toronto having also won their opener, beating Ecuador 1-0 thanks to a stunning 90th-minute goal from Amad Diallo off the bench, ending Ecuador’s near two-year unbeaten run in the process.

Emerse Fae’s side are on a five-match winning run across all competitions, which includes a 2-1 friendly victory over France, and could secure their place in the knockout rounds with a positive result here.

Diallo is pushing to start after his match-winning cameo, while there is also a question mark over striker Elye Wahi, who had visa complications entering Canada but has since been cleared to travel and could feature.

Young midfielder Yan Diomande was sensational against Ecuador, becoming the first player since 1966 to create five or more chances, make five or more tackles, win 10 or more duels and register 10 or more touches in the opposition’s box in a single World Cup match.

The only previous meeting between the two sides came in a 2-2 friendly in November 2009, with Lukas Podolski scoring twice for Germany including a last-minute equaliser. A win for Germany here would secure top spot in Group E if Ecuador fail to beat Curacao in the other fixture.
