Scotland v Brazil on TV: Live Streaming Details

Scotland go into this match knowing that a win would guarantee their place in the round of 32 for the first time in the country’s history, while even a draw would most likely be enough to see them through as one of the best third-placed teams.

Steve Clarke’s side beat Haiti 1-0 in their opener but then lost by the same scoreline against Morocco, with Ismael Saibari’s goal after just 70 seconds proving the difference in a game where Scotland were unfortunate not to win a penalty during a determined second-half display.

Clarke may switch between the 3-4-2-1 and 4-4-1-1 systems he used against Morocco, with Scott McKenna, Aaron Hickey and Lewis Ferguson all having returned to training after minor injury concerns and pushing for places.

Ben Gannon-Doak may have to settle for a spot on the bench as a result.

John McGinn and Scott McTominay are both expected to start in advanced midfield roles, with Che Adams the most likely option to lead the line ahead of Lawrence Shankland and Lyndon Dykes.

Brazil come into this match in much better shape after a rocky start, bouncing back from a 1-1 draw with Morocco to hammer Haiti 3-0 in their second game, with Matheus Cunha scoring twice and Vinicius Junior also getting on the scoresheet.

Carlo Ancelotti described that display as “complete” and Brazil now need only to match or better Morocco’s result against Haiti to guarantee top spot in Group C.

Raphinha has been ruled out with a hamstring injury picked up against Haiti, with 19-year-old Bournemouth winger Rayan the most likely candidate to fill in on the right flank. Neymar is available after recovering from injury but is not expected to start, with Lucas Paqueta continuing in the number 10 role behind Vinicius Junior and Cunha.

Scotland have never beaten Brazil in eight previous attempts, losing six and drawing two, including three World Cup group stage defeats between 1982 and 1998. The sides last met at France 1998, when Brazil won 2-1.

It would be one of the great upsets in Scottish football history, but after what this squad has already achieved in simply getting here, Clarke’s side will head to Miami with nothing to lose and everything to play for.
