Denmark v Wales live stream details

Both sides lost their opening Nations League game and both badly want this one. Craig Bellamy’s Wales went down 1-0 to Portugal, Joao Felix scoring the only goal before the break.

There was a good deal to like about the performance even so. Wales earned their place here by coming up from League B in 2024-25, and League A has put Portugal, Denmark and Norway in front of them.

Denmark were beaten 3-2 by Norway on Thursday. Two down inside 18 minutes, they dragged it back to 2-2 by the hour before Erling Haaland scored his second of the night.

Brian Riemer now has Wales and Portugal at home back to back.

This is Denmark’s fourth consecutive tournament in League A, and their overall Nations League record stands at 12 wins, five draws and eight defeats from 25 games. They travel to Wales for the return fixture on 4 October.

There is an oddity in the head to head. These two have met 11 times and not one of them has finished level, with Denmark leading 7-4.

Wales have lost the last three, including the 4-0 at Euro 2020 that ended their tournament in the last 16. Their most recent win over Denmark came in a friendly back in November 2008.

Bellamy is without Harry Wilson, Nathan Broadhead, Karl Darlow, Joe Rodon, Dylan Lawlor, Rubin Colwill and Isaak Davies. Dan James is pushing to come into the front line in place of Lewis Koumas.

Riemer is expected to name an unchanged side, with Rasmus Hojlund leading the line again after scoring against Norway.
