What channel is Man Utd v Aston Villa on?

Manchester United finally won on Tuesday, coming from two goals down to beat Roma 3-2 at Old Trafford in the Champions League. Bruno Fernandes scored from a retaken penalty before Matheus Cunha struck twice in three minutes, the equaliser coming from a Roma defensive error.

That ended a nine-game winless run in all competitions, which included league defeats to Bournemouth and Chelsea. United are 17th with seven points, above the relegation zone only on goal difference, and Michael Carrick remains under pressure going into the international break.

Lisandro Martinez is suspended after his red card at Chelsea, Luke Shaw is out, and Patrick Dorgu is a doubt, so Diogo Dalot could play at left-back alongside Harry Maguire and Ayden Heaven. Carlos Baleba and Manuel Ugarte are both out, leaving Kobbie Mainoo and Youri Tielemans in midfield, while Marcus Rashford has a hip problem and Benjamin Sesko is still out, so Cunha should lead the line with Amad Diallo, Fernandes and Bryan Mbeumo behind him.

Aston Villa have gone three games without a win in three different competitions. A 3-0 Carabao Cup defeat at Bournemouth was followed by a 1-1 home draw with Fulham, before they dropped their first Champions League points in a 3-0 defeat at Barcelona on Tuesday.

Before that, Unai Emery’s side had gone seven games unbeaten, including a 2-1 win over Manchester City. They are tenth with 12 points, three behind fifth-placed Liverpool, and Emery says he is close to agreeing a new contract.

Matty Cash is suspended after his fifth booking of the season and Matteo Ruggeri has a hamstring injury, while Aaron Wan-Bissaka faces a late fitness test. If he is not ready, Lamare Bogarde and Ian Maatsen should start at full-back, and Amadou Onana remains a long-term absentee.

A win before the international break would give Carrick and United breathing space, while Villa need a result to stop a mini-slump turning into something more serious.
