Is Liverpool Women v Everton Women on TV?

Liverpool sit seventh and Everton fifth, two points between them, which undersells how differently the two have got here.

Gareth Taylor’s side have lost one of four competitive matches and scored 11 goals doing it. A 4-0 win over Charlton was followed by a 1-1 draw with Tottenham, and they were on course for another point at Manchester City until two late goals turned it into a 4-2 defeat.

Midweek went the other way. Two-one down to Sunderland in the League Cup, Liverpool came back to win 4-2 with Marie Hobinger scoring twice.

Everton have taken a quieter route. An opening day defeat to Crystal Palace has been followed by three straight wins without conceding, two of them 1-0 and the most recent settled by a 94th-minute own goal at West Ham.

Zara Kramzar and Yuka Momiki then scored in a 2-0 win over Birmingham City in the cup, so Scott Phelan’s side arrive on a run of three.

Lucy Parry, Anna Josendal and Ceri Holland are all out for Liverpool, with Khiara Kheating, Mari Ward and Kirsty McLean doubtful. Zara Shaw is available again having returned from the Under-20 World Cup with England in midweek.

Everton remain without Karen Holmgaard and Inma Gabbaro, both recovering from long-term knee injuries, while Jutta Rantala and Noemie Mouchon have missed all four games so far and are fitness concerns again.

The away record in this fixture is the number that matters. Everton have won each of their last five WSL trips to Liverpool, keeping clean sheets in four, and took last season’s meeting 4-1. Liverpool have not beaten them at home in the league since May 2019, though they did win 3-2 at Goodison in March.
