Man Utd v Man City Live Stream Details
Man Utd v Man City is on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League, with the game also carried in 4K on Sky Sports Ultra HDR. Kick off at Old Trafford is 16.30 BST on Sunday 13 September 2026, in gameweek four of the Premier League season.
Both clubs arrive off European wins in midweek, City having seen off Porto 2-0 and United beating Champions League debutants Sabah 4-0 on Thursday.
The domestic picture is less comfortable for the hosts. Four points from three league games included a 2-0 defeat at Hull City and a 2-2 draw at Everton, with a 5-2 win over Ipswich Town sandwiched between them.
Conceding twice in each of their opening three league games is something United have managed only once in the last 50 years, in 2020-21. They finished second that season, so the alarm is not quite sounding yet.
Thursday brought a first clean sheet of the campaign and a third straight game with multiple goals. Michael Carrick has also won nine of his 10 Premier League home matches since returning, and no United manager has won both of his opening two league derbies since John Bentley in 1913.
Luke Shaw missed the Sabah game with cramp rather than anything serious and should be available, which would bring up his 300th Premier League appearance. Carlos Baleba, Matthijs de Ligt, Manuel Ugarte, Tom Heaton and Amad Diallo are all out.
City sit top after three straight wins, beating Bournemouth 2-1, Crystal Palace 4-1 and Coventry City 1-0, the last of those settled by an Erling Haaland header.
A fourth win would make them the first side to open a Premier League season with four victories on seven separate occasions, moving them clear of Chelsea’s six.
Haaland scored twice against Porto and now has 42 goals in 39 Champions League group and league phase games. He has eight in seven league meetings with United, though only two of those came at Old Trafford.
Jeremy Doku is still struggling with a calf problem and looks set to miss out. Nico O’Reilly is back to full fitness after the back injury that ruled him out against Coventry.
Enzo Maresca can become the ninth City manager to win his first league Manchester derby, a list that includes Kevin Keegan, Sven-Goran Eriksson, Manuel Pellegrini and Pep Guardiola. Recent history is against him, with City winning just one of the last four league meetings and losing 2-0 at Old Trafford in January. United’s most recent home league game was the 5-2 win over Ipswich, with last weekend’s draw at Everton coming on the road.
