Zverev v Cobolli on TV: Live Streaming Details

Alexander Zverev and Flavio Cobolli meet in the French Open men’s final on Sunday afternoon in one of the most unexpected title matches Roland Garros has produced in years. Neither player has ever won a Grand Slam, and that is guaranteed to change on Court Philippe-Chatrier.

Zverev arrives as a heavy favourite, having dropped just two sets all tournament. His semi-final win over Jakub Mensik was comfortable in the end, 7-5, 6-2, 3-6, 6-3, and it was his fourth career Grand Slam final. He has previously lost finals at the 2020 US Open, the 2024 French Open against Carlos Alcaraz and the 2025 Australian Open, and the hunger to finally win a major title has been obvious throughout his two weeks in Paris.

The German has looked controlled and authoritative throughout the draw. With Jannik Sinner going out in the second round and Alcaraz absent through injury, the door was left wide open, and Zverev has walked through it with real purpose.

Cobolli’s run to the final has been one of the great stories of this year’s tournament. The 24-year-old Italian had never previously reached a Grand Slam semi-final, let alone a final, and he finds himself here largely by default after his compatriot Matteo Arnaldi withdrew from their semi-final with a virus. That said, Cobolli had already beaten two seeded players to get that far, including Felix Auger-Aliassime and Learner Tien.

The pair have met four times on tour, with Zverev winning three of them. Cobolli’s only win came in Munich earlier this season, when he won 6-3, 6-3 on clay in straight sets. Their most recent clash in Madrid went the other way, with Zverev winning 6-1, 6-4. That clay form from the German will concern Cobolli heading into Sunday.

Cobolli is a big hitter and has shown throughout this fortnight that he is not fazed by the occasion. The extra rest after Arnaldi’s withdrawal could also work in his favour, with Zverev having had to grind through four sets against Mensik while his opponent had the day off. It may not be as straightforward as the odds suggest.
