The Gunners will be aiming to resume their strong start after the international break, while Forest adjust quickly to life under their new manager.
Postecoglou replaces Nuno Espirito Santo following his dismissal earlier this week after a breakdown with owner Evangelos Marinakis.
Known for his attacking style from his time at Tottenham, Postecoglou’s sides often play with a high defensive line and open up games a stark contrast to Nuno’s cautious approach.
With only a few days to work with his new squad, it may take time for his methods to take hold, but Forest are expected to be more adventurous than in recent weeks.
Arsenal come into the clash with two wins from three, backed by strong underlying numbers.
Mikel Arteta’s side rank among the league’s best for expected points and defensive solidity, having yet to concede a big chance this season.
Injuries are a concern, with Bukayo Saka, William Saliba, Kai Havertz, Ben White and Christian Norgaard all sidelined, leaving gaps in both defence and attack.
Forest, meanwhile, have been vulnerable defensively, ranking low in expected goals against and shots conceded.
Their away record against top-half opposition last season was unconvincing, with just two wins in nine games and an average of more than two goals conceded per match.
Despite an influx of 11 summer signings, they remain very much a work in progress.
Arsenal’s absentees may give Forest encouragement, particularly with Viktor Gyökeres and Chris Wood offering threat in attack, but the Gunners’ defensive organisation and control in possession makes them firm favourites to collect three points at the Emirates.
