Sky1 Sets UK Premiere Date For ‘About A Boy’ Season 2

Sky1 has set a UK premiere date for the second season of About a Boy, with the NBC comedy returning on Sunday 22 February.

Developed for television by Jason Katims, the series is based on Nick Hornby’s novel and stars David Walton as Will Freeman, a carefree San Francisco bachelor living comfortably off the royalties from a single hit song.

His easy life is upended when single mother Fiona, played by Minnie Driver, moves in next door with her son Marcus, played by Benjamin Stockham, and the boy starts to see Will as a friend and role model. Al Madrigal and Annie Mumolo also star as Will’s best friend Andy and Andy’s wife Laurie.

The new season sees Will settling into his unlikely role in Marcus’s life while Fiona starts dating again. It began on NBC in October.
