Channel 4 has set a premiere date for the fourth season of Catastrophe, with Sharon Horgan and Rob Delaney’s comedy returning on Tuesday 8 January.
Written by and starring Horgan and Delaney, Catastrophe follows Sharon, an Irish teacher in London, and Rob, an American advertising executive, whose short fling during his business trip leads to an unexpected pregnancy. The pair decide to make a go of things together, with messy and very funny results.
The new run of six episodes finds the couple still trying to hold their marriage and family together. Mark Bonnar, Ashley Jensen and Jonathan Forbes return in the supporting cast.
Channel 4 ordered the third and fourth seasons together in July 2016. The BAFTA-winning series is made by Avalon Television for Channel 4, with Jim O’Hanlon directing, and Amazon Prime Video holds the rights in the US.
