Channel 4 has set a UK premiere date for the second season of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., with the ABC drama returning on Friday October 24th at 8pm.
Developed for television by Joss Whedon, Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen, the series is set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and stars Clark Gregg as Phil Coulson. The new season picks up after the events of Captain America: The Winter Soldier left S.H.I.E.L.D. in ruins and branded a threat. In the opening episode, Shadows, Coulson and his team are now wanted fugitives, short on resources but still working to keep the world safe from the dangers others cannot see.
Returning alongside Gregg are Ming-Na Wen, Chloe Bennet, Brett Dalton, Iain De Caestecker and Elizabeth Henstridge. The 22-part run also brings in new faces, including Kyle MacLachlan, Lucy Lawless and Nick Blood, as the team comes up against a resurgent Hydra.
