The expanded 48 team tournament kicked off on 11 June with hosts Mexico beating South Africa 2-0 in the opening game.
It is the first World Cup to feature 64 different countries and runs across three host nations, with games taking place in Mexico, the USA and Canada throughout the group stage.
England find themselves in Group L alongside Croatia, Ghana and Panama.
The Three Lions open their campaign against Croatia in Dallas on 17 June, before facing Ghana on 23 June and Panama to round off the group on 27 June.
Scotland have been drawn in Group C alongside Brazil, Morocco and Haiti.
Steve Clarke’s side begin against Haiti in Boston on 14 June, then take on Morocco on 19 June, before a tough finale against Brazil in Miami on 24 June.
Once the group stage wraps up on 27 June, the knockout rounds begin almost immediately, with the Round of 32 running from 28 June through to 3 July.
The Round of 16 follows from 4 to 7 July, with quarter finals on 9, 10 and 11 July.
Both semi finals take place on consecutive days, 14 and 15 July, before the third place play off on 18 July.
The tournament reaches its conclusion with the final at New York New Jersey Stadium on Sunday 19 July, with kick off at 8pm BST.
