USA v Australia on TV: Live Streaming Details

Both sides go into this match with maximum points from their opening games, setting up a mouth-watering Group D clash that could go a long way to deciding who tops the section.

The USA were brilliant in their opener against Paraguay, racing into a lead through an early Damian Bobadilla own goal before Folarin Balogun scored twice either side of half time to put the game to bed.

Giovanni Reyna added a stunning fourth in injury time to complete a 4-1 win that sent a statement to the rest of the tournament.

Mauricio Pochettino is expected to name an unchanged side, though there are minor concerns over Christian Pulisic, who was taken off at half time against Paraguay with a knock. Both the manager and Tyler Adams have since confirmed he will be fit to start.

Australia’s victory was arguably even more of a surprise, with Tony Popovic’s side beating a Turkey side many had tipped as dark horses 2-0, with goals from Nestory Irankunda and Connor Metcalfe.

The Socceroos were under heavy pressure for long spells, conceding 72% possession, but goalkeeper Patrick Beach was outstanding on his competitive debut, making eight saves to keep the sheet clean.

Popovic is expected to keep faith with the same starting 11, with Beach again likely to start behind a back three of Alessandro Circati, Harry Souttar and Cameron Burgess.

The USA have won each of their last two meetings with Australia, including a 2-1 friendly in October 2025, and will be backed by a majority home crowd in Seattle.

Several prominent American pundits have already dismissed Australia ahead of this fixture, describing the Socceroos as a “lay-up” for the hosts, which should give Popovic’s side plenty of motivation to prove a point.
