England World Cup Fixtures: TV and Streaming Details
England’s opener against Croatia and their final group game against Panama are both being shown live on ITV1, with the Ghana match tonight shown on BBC One with coverage from 8:00pm BST.
All three matches can also be streamed for free through ITVX or BBC iPlayer depending on the broadcaster, with no subscription needed beyond a valid UK TV licence.
England got their World Cup campaign off to a flying start, beating Croatia 4-2 in Dallas on 17 June in one of their most exciting performances in years. Harry Kane scored twice with Jude Bellingham and Marcus Rashford also on the scoresheet, though Croatia did pull it back to 2-2 at one stage before England pulled clear in the second half.
Tonight’s second group game comes against Ghana at Boston Stadium in Foxborough, with kick off at 9:00pm BST on BBC One. Both sides won their openers, with Ghana edging past Panama 1-0 thanks to a 95th-minute Caleb Yirenkyi goal, setting up a Group L clash where a win for either team would seal their place in the round of 32.
A goal for Kane tonight would see him overtake Gary Lineker’s tally of ten World Cup goals to become England’s all-time leading scorer in the competition. Jude Bellingham is also set to earn his 50th England cap, becoming the youngest men’s player in English football history to reach that landmark at 22 years old.
The final group game is against Panama at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on 27 June, live on ITV1 with kick off at 10:00pm BST. England beat Panama 6-1 in the 2018 World Cup group stage, so Tuchel’s side will go into that one as strong favourites regardless of what happens tonight.
England were seeded in Pot 1 alongside the three host nations and the other leading sides, which has shaped how the knockout draw could unfold.
If they top Group L, England would face a third-placed team in the round of 32, likely in Atlanta on 1 July. Topping the group would also help England avoid fellow top seeds Argentina, Spain and France until the semi finals at the earliest.
From there, the round of 16 would follow in early July, with the quarter finals between 9 and 11 July, the semi finals on 14 and 15 July and the final at MetLife Stadium on 19 July.
