What time is England v Panama game on?

England go into this final group game needing a result after a frustrating 0-0 draw with Ghana left Thomas Tuchel’s side with four points from two games. A win tonight will seal top spot in Group L and set up a more favourable path through the knockout rounds.

Despite the Ghana disappointment, England remain in a strong position.

Panama have already been eliminated after losing both of their group games, managed by former Leeds boss Thomas Christiansen, so the Three Lions know the incentive is there to put on a performance and build momentum ahead of the last 32.

Tuchel is expected to restore the attacking lineup that impressed against Croatia, with Harry Kane, Jude Bellingham and Bukayo Saka all pushing to start.

Kane in particular will be eager to add to his tally after going scoreless against Ghana, with the England captain closing in on Gary Lineker’s all-time World Cup goals record for the Three Lions.

Declan Rice is expected to be fit after managing through the Ghana game with a knock, while there may be opportunities for fringe players to get minutes late on if England establish a comfortable lead.

Panama have been competitive despite their results, losing 1-0 to Ghana in unfortunate circumstances and then going down to Croatia in their second game. Christiansen’s side have nothing to lose tonight, which could make them dangerous in the early stages if England take time to settle.

England have a fine record against Panama, hammering them 6-1 at the 2018 World Cup in what remains one of the most one sided matches in recent Three Lions history. Kane scored a hat-trick that day and will be desperate to add to that tally in Foxborough tonight.

A win for England here, combined with a Croatia victory or draw against Ghana in the simultaneous fixture, would confirm the Three Lions as Group L winners and set up a round of 32 tie in New Jersey on Monday 30 June.
