Second plays fourth in England’s second tier this afternoon so this should be a cracker.

West Ham are second, a point behind Swansea City, and have won their last two away games, beating Lincoln City and then Swansea themselves. They have lost only twice all season, both at home.

The win at Lincoln came against ten men and was their most comfortable of the run.

Southampton are four points behind West Ham despite a points deduction that would otherwise have them closer to the top. Tonda Eckert’s side have tightened up at the back, with three consecutive clean sheets including a goalless draw at home to Bolton last time out.

Only West Ham and Middlesbrough have scored more goals in the division this season.

Cyle Larin went off injured against Bolton and is a doubt, which would be a blow given how much of the attacking threat runs through him.

West Ham have had the better of this fixture lately, including a decent win in the cup earlier this season.
