With just one point separating them, Nottingham Forest and Chelsea head into today’s showdown at the City Ground knowing a place in next season’s UEFA Champions League could be at stake.

I’m hoping this one will be a cracker with so much at stake, make sure you manage to watch the game.

Forest will be thrilled to have secured European football for the first time in 30 years, but there’s a sense of unfinished business.

After such a strong campaign, Nuno Espírito Santo’s side will feel a UEFA Conference League place doesn’t quite reflect their full potential.

A dip in form at the wrong time has hurt them, with Sunday’s 2-1 win at West Ham just their second victory in their last seven Premier League outings. I think Chelsea could come away with all three points – Dave James TVWise.co.uk Expert

To break into the top five, only a win will do but history isn’t on Forest’s side.

Forest have beaten Chelsea just once in their last 12 meetings across all competitions, although they did earn a point in the reverse fixture at Stamford Bridge back in October.

Chelsea willl face Real Betis in Poland on Wednesday in the UEFA Conference League Final, with that offering a direct route to the Europa League. Will the Blues be up for this one with that game in mind?

Enzo Maresca’s team will be pushing for more, a draw might be enough for a top five finish depending on other results, but they’ll be targeting all three points.

The Blues head into the final day in good form, with six wins from their last seven matches in all competitions.

Their 1-0 win over Manchester United on Friday was a professional performance, but away form remains a concern.

Chelsea have won just one of their last nine Premier League games on the road (W1, D3, L5), and have managed only seven away victories in the league all season.

I’m still thinking Chelsea can come away with all three points today and I’m happy to take the away win.
