Where to watch Charlton v Bristol City
Charlton v Bristol City is live on Sky Sports+ rather than one of the main Sky Sports channels, and Sky Sports+ comes with a Sky Sports subscription at no extra cost. Kick off at The Valley is 12.30 BST on Saturday 10 October 2026, so look for it in the Sky Sports+ section of your Sky box or the Sky Sports app instead of the usual channel list.
Saturday lunchtime is crowded. Sky Sports Football has West Brom v Birmingham at the same 12.30 kick off and TNT Sports has Arsenal v Leeds, so Charlton’s game is the one tucked away on Sky Sports+. Anyone without a Sky contract can still watch it through a NOW Sports membership.
Charlton get a bigger stage over the next fortnight, with their trip to Watford on 17 October and the visit of Norwich a week later both moved to 12.30 for Sky Sports Football.
One point and one place separate the sides.
Bristol City are eighth on 13 points and Charlton ninth on 12, though the two have been heading in different directions. Nathan Jones’s side have gone five league games without a win since beating Preston, a run that took in goalless draws at home to QPR and Portsmouth, a 4-0 defeat at Stoke and a 3-1 loss at Cardiff just before the break.
Skubala won League One with Lincoln last season, and it was Lincoln who beat his new club 1-0 at Ashton Gate in September, a few days after City had been thrashed 4-1 at Southampton. Dom Ballard’s goal in a 1-0 win over Watford stopped that slide before the international break. City also won at The Valley last season, 2-1 in April.
Charlton have no fresh injuries from the break but are still without goalkeeper William Mannion, full-back Kayne Ramsay, defender Collins Sichenje and striker Matt Godden.
Rob Dickie is Bristol City’s main absentee with a knee injury. Luke McNally, who has spent a long spell out with a knee problem of his own, scored in a friendly against Crystal Palace during the break and is pushing to return.
