Bournemouth v Sturm Graz on TV

British interest is spread right across the evening. Torreense v Sunderland went earlier at 17.45, with Benfica v Celtic and Lyon v Crystal Palace also at 20.00, so TNT will be moving between them.

This is a first for the club.

Bournemouth have never staged a European match at home in 127 years, and they come into it having won their opening tie 2-1 at Real Sociedad. That was the club’s first competitive European game of any kind.

Domestically it has been bleak. Marco Rose is still waiting on a first Premier League win after six games, and Chelsea beat them 5-1 last weekend to leave Bournemouth 18th.

The defending is the root of it, with clean sheets almost non-existent and goals going in at a rate nobody else in the division can match. Home form has been poor through 2026 as well, which makes the occasion a slightly awkward fit.

Sturm Graz drew their opener 0-0 at home with Rennes, one of only four sides in the competition to take a point that way. They are five-time Austrian champions and sit fourth domestically after beating Austria Wien 2-0 at the weekend.

Fabio Ingolitsch, still only 34, has been in charge since January and has yet to take the club beyond a league phase. Red Bull Salzburg beat them 3-0 before the international break.
