Preston North End v Everton Live Stream Details

Deepdale hosts the pick of Wednesday’s second round ties, with the third round draw due to be made during the broadcast.

There is a familiar face in the away dugout. David Moyes spent close to a decade at Deepdale as a player and then manager before leaving for Goodison Park in 2002.

Everton arrive in good order, having opened the Premier League season with a 2-0 win over Crystal Palace. Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Thierno Barry got the goals either side of the interval.

The Toffees have not won a major trophy since 1995 and a cup run would be welcome, though Moyes is expected to rotate given the quick turnaround.

Preston have made a difficult start under Paul Heckingbottom, losing both of their opening Championship fixtures and sitting among the sides still without a point.

Captain Ben Whiteman left for Wrexham over the summer, and North End have now gone eight competitive and pre-season matches without a win inside 90 minutes.

The two clubs have not met competitively since a League Cup tie in 2004, and Preston’s last win over Everton came back in 1961.
