Back to back league wins would be a first in a long while. Selhurst Park has not been much of a fortress lately either, with home points in short supply through 2026.
Sage made eight changes for the midweek 3-0 cup win over Middlesbrough and is expected to name a stronger side here.
Chadi Riad, Jean-Philippe Mateta and Ismaila Sarr are all out, though Sarr is due back in training on Monday. Cheick Doucoure missed the cup tie through illness but has recovered and could return to the squad.
Ipswich have three points from three. A late 2-1 win over Sunderland on the opening weekend has been followed by defeats to Manchester United and Liverpool, the latter at Portman Road last Friday.
Both goals in that one went in inside the opening nine minutes. Gary O’Neil accepted his side had made costly mistakes but felt the response afterwards was a strong one.
The defending makes uncomfortable reading. Ipswich have gone an age without a clean sheet in the top flight, and only Palace have shipped as many as they have this season.
Jaden Philogene, Azor Matusiwa and Jack Taylor all remain unavailable. O’Neil has yet to beat Palace as a manager, and his sides have tended to concede heavily when they meet.
The sides last met in the 2024-25 season, when a late Ismaila Sarr goal settled it for the Eagles. Palace took both meetings that year, so a third straight win over Ipswich would be rare company indeed.
