Both sides arrive into this London derby on the back of wins.

Chelsea beat Bournemouth 5-1 before winning 2-0 at Everton, Pedro Neto scoring twice and the defence finally keeping a clean sheet after a long run without one. Xabi Alonso now wants a third straight league win for the first time since February.

Stamford Bridge has been a happy hunting ground against these opponents specifically, with Chelsea having had much the better of recent meetings here.

Tottenham finally got their season moving with a 3-1 win over Coventry, James Maddison, Omar Marmoush and Ben Davies scoring. It ended a six-game winless start and was the first time in a long while they had scored more than two in a league game.

Roberto De Zerbi’s side sit 16th but only three points off the top nine, and Dejan Kulusevski is back available after a lengthy injury lay-off.

A draw at Old Trafford two weeks ago was a rare point taken on the road.

Stamford Bridge has been a tough place for Spurs to visit for a long time now, and recent history gives them little encouragement.
