Burnley continued their abysmal winless run against  Brighton and Hove Albion when the Seagulls defeated them 2-0. The loss extended Burnley’s winless streak to 11 games in the Premier League, and the side are currently languishing at 19th position on the points table.

Gaffer Scott Parker has now overseen nine losses for his side out of their last 11 Premier League games. In addition, the Clarets have not been able to beat Manchester United in any of their last eight meetings at Turf Moor. Six of these eight games have resulted in losses for Wednesday’s home side.

Ruben Amorim has been sacked from his position as Manchester United manager, and this is not something that will shock many after the Portuguese’s comments in the press conference after the draw with Leeds United. Darren Fletcher will be acting as interim boss of the Red Devils, and he will be on the sidelines for the Manchester outfit on Wednesday.

The Red Devils are currently in sixth position on the points table, two adrift of the UCL qualification spots. A return to European competitions will be the primary aim of the side for now; however, tough fixtures are ahead, with Manchester United set to face teams such as Brighton and Hove Albion, Manchester City and Arsenal in the days following the game against Burnley.

Taking into consideration current forms and recent results, a win for Manchester United can be predicted as the possible outcome of the fixture.
