Is Derby v Bolton on TV?

Derby are in the relegation zone and have won just once in the league this season, at Portsmouth at the start of September. They have lost four of their last five, including heavy defeats at Millwall and at home to Norwich on Tuesday, and are still waiting for a first home win of the campaign.

It is a big drop from last season’s eighth-place finish, and John Eustace is under pressure. Derby have struggled at both ends, with one of the leakiest defences in the division and goals hard to come by, and their only point at home in recent weeks came in a 1-1 draw with Wrexham.

Eiran Cashin, Sondre Langas, Craig Forsyth, Derry Murkin and Charlie Taylor are all out. Matt Clarke and Patrick Agyemang are back in full training but may not be ready, and Joe Ward, Ryan Hedges, David Ozoh and Sammie Szmodics are all doubts, Szmodics having come off against Norwich.

Bolton are 17th and seven points clear of the drop in their first Championship season in seven years. Steven Schumacher’s side ended a three-game winless run with a 1-0 win at Charlton on Tuesday, Sam Dalby scoring the only goal.

Their away form has picked up significantly after a poor start, with back to back clean sheets on the road and four away games without defeat, including a 3-1 win at Wolves.

Gavin Bazunu, Eoin Toal, Ethan Erhahon and Ryan Hardie are unlikely to feature after missing the last two games, and John McAtee and Jayden Nelson are expected to miss out with knee and hamstring injuries. Josh Sheehan and Atsuki Ito are both concerns after picking up knocks at Charlton.

Pride Park has rarely been kind to Bolton over the years, but Derby’s form gives the visitors a real chance to change that before the international break.
