What channel is Sunderland v Dinamo Zagreb on?

Sunderland are bottom of the Premier League after seven league games without a win, the latest a 3-1 defeat at Coventry on Saturday. That came after a goalless draw with Leeds, and it is a long way from last season’s seventh-place finish, although Regis Le Bris is said to retain the backing of the club’s owners.

Europe has been a different story. Sunderland beat AZ Alkmaar 1-0 and Torreense 2-1 before drawing 1-1 with Lech Poznan, and they sit ninth in the league phase table. A 3-2 win over Brentford in the Carabao Cup last week also gave the side a lift.

Daniel Ballard, Romaine Mundle and Habib Diarra are all out injured, and Chemsdine Talbi, Jocelin Ta Bi, Melker Ellborg, Alan Browne and Aji Alese are not registered for the Europa League. Nordi Mukiele missed the Coventry game under concussion protocols and will be assessed, and teenager Juan Angulo is a doubt with a knock.

Brian Brobbey signed a new long-term contract this week, but Wilson Isidor or Timur Tutierov, who scored in Poznan, could lead the line instead. Kevin Danso, Dayann Methalie, Thomas Meunier and Malick Fofana are all pushing for recalls.

Dinamo Zagreb are in the middle of a managerial change. Mario Kovacevic left by mutual consent after a 1-0 defeat to Rudes at the weekend, and reserve team coach Jerko Leko has stepped up as caretaker while the club look for a permanent replacement. They are four points behind Hajduk Split in the Croatian title race with a game in hand.

Their Europa League campaign has been mixed, with a goalless draw away to Hapoel Be’er Sheva and a 1-0 home win over Anderlecht followed by a 4-2 home defeat to NEC Nijmegen, leaving them three points behind Sunderland in the table.

Scotland defender Scott McKenna has a back strain and is expected to miss out, so Niko Galesic or Stjepan Radeljic should partner Sergi Dominguez at centre-back. Striker Dion Drena Beljo has been prolific this season and will lead the line.

Dinamo have found away wins hard to come by in Europe in recent seasons, which gives Sunderland a good chance of strengthening their place in the top eight.
