Sky have the Friday night slot, which is where the Premier League weekend opens.

Ipswich have made an encouraging return to the top flight.

Nine points from seven games has Gary O’Neil’s side tenth, and a win tonight would lift them above Brentford into sixth, at least until the rest of the weekend catches up. They beat Fulham 2-1 at home earlier this month.

Last Saturday was a good day’s work in defeat. Ipswich lost 3-2 at Manchester City but gave them a genuinely awkward afternoon, and it was the sort of performance that usually precedes points.

Forest are in the relegation zone. Five points from seven, three straight defeats, and a 1-0 home loss to Arsenal on Sunday that was closer than the result suggested.

The oddity is that Oliver Glasner’s side have been far better away from home. They have won four of their last seven on the road, their only victory this season came at Aston Villa, and they are yet to score a home league goal at all.

Glasner has beaten Ipswich in both of his previous meetings with them as a manager. Forest have had much the better of this fixture in recent years too, which is the one thing working against the hosts tonight.
