Czech Republic v England on TV – Stream Details

Two goals up early and beaten 3-2. England’s Nations League campaign opened the way several of their recent big games have ended, with Anthony Gordon and Harry Kane scoring in quick succession before Lamine Yamal, Alex Baena and Mikel Oyarzabal turned it around at Wembley.

The defending is the story.

England have not kept a clean sheet in six matches and have conceded 13 across that run. Two defeats in the last three is as many as they suffered in the previous 23 games put together.

Third place in League A Group 3 would mean a relegation playoff, so this matters rather more than a September away trip usually would. Thomas Tuchel came out of Saturday with no new injuries.

Trent Alexander-Arnold was an unused substitute against Spain and could come in for Jarell Quansah. Lewis Hall was held out of training as a precaution but is expected to be available, and Rio Ngumoha missed the squad entirely last time, with 24 players available for 23 places.

The Czech Republic are in worse shape. Santi Denia’s first game in charge brought a 2-1 defeat to Croatia at this ground, Adam Karabec scoring between goals from the 41-year-old Luka Modric and Marco Pasalic.

Five shots to Croatia’s 16 gives a fair sense of how one-sided it was. Only two of the Czechs’ eight games in 2026 have been won, both World Cup warm-up friendlies, and they took a single point from three group games against South Korea, South Africa and Mexico.

Their injury list is long. David Zima, David Jurasek, Matej Rynes, Tomas Vlcek, Lukas Provod, Denis Visinsky and Tomas Chory all withdrew before the Croatia game, Ladislav Krejci missed it with a calf problem, and Karabec went off injured during it.

Pavel Sulc is expected to operate behind Adam Hlozek. England won 1-0 at Euro 2020 but lost 2-1 on their last visit to Prague in 2019.
