Back to back league wins would be a first since December 2025. Selhurst Park has not been much of a fortress lately either, with only Tottenham collecting fewer home points across 2026 among the ever-present Premier League clubs.
Sage made eight changes for the midweek 3-0 cup win over Middlesbrough and is expected to name a stronger side here.
Chadi Riad, Jean-Philippe Mateta and Ismaila Sarr are all out, though Sarr is due back in training on Monday. Cheick Doucoure missed the cup tie through illness but has recovered and could return to the squad.
Ipswich have three points from three. A late 2-1 win over Sunderland on the opening weekend has been followed by defeats to Manchester United and Liverpool, the latter at Portman Road last Friday.
Both goals in that one went in inside the opening nine minutes. Gary O’Neil accepted his side had made costly mistakes but felt the response afterwards was a strong one.
The defensive numbers make uncomfortable reading. Ipswich are on their longest ever top-flight run without a clean sheet at 22 games, having conceded 57 goals in that stretch, and their eight this season is a division high shared with Palace.
Jaden Philogene, Azor Matusiwa and Jack Taylor all remain unavailable. O’Neil has never beaten Palace in five Premier League meetings as a manager, conceding at least twice on every occasion.
The sides last met in March 2025, when a late Ismaila Sarr goal settled it 1-0 for the Eagles. Palace won both meetings that season by the same scoreline, and have not beaten Ipswich in three straight league games since February 1995.
