What TV channel is the Sunderland v Hull City game on?

What is the Sunderland v Hull City kick off time?

Sunderland have made a steady enough start back in the top flight, taking four points from their opening three league games. They lost at Ipswich on the opening weekend, beat Fulham at home and then picked up a point away at Brentford on Saturday.

They were handed a bye into the third round because of their European qualification. Regis Le Bris has Arsenal and Manchester City to come in the league, plus a first Europa League night at the Stadium of Light against AZ Alkmaar, so heavy rotation is expected here.

Habib Diarra is the main absentee. The Senegal midfielder is out for around two months after a hamstring injury sustained in the win over Fulham.

Hull have been the surprise of the early season. Tipped by many to struggle on their return to the Premier League, they sit on seven points after beating Manchester United and Coventry City and then holding Aston Villa to a goalless draw on Saturday for a third consecutive clean sheet.

Sergej Jakirovic is without Jack Butland, Oscar Zambrano, Charlie Hughes, Darko Gyabi and Hidemasa Morita. Joe Gelhardt has returned to full training and comes back into contention.

The Tigers got past Stoke City on penalties in the previous round and are chasing a place in the last 16 for the first time since 2016. They have not won any of their last 10 ties in this competition inside normal time, with all three victories in that run coming via shootouts.

This is only the third meeting between the clubs in the competition. Sunderland won 2-1 at the same stage back in 1961-62, and Hull went through on penalties in a first round tie six years ago.
