Scotland World Cup fixtures: TV and streaming details

Scotland are back at the World Cup for the first time since France 1998, ending a 28-year wait that has felt like a lifetime for the Tartan Army.

Steve Clarke’s side sealed their place in the tournament by topping their qualifying group, with two injury time goals in their final match against Denmark producing one of the most dramatic nights in recent Scottish football history.

Scotland have been drawn in Group C alongside five-time world champions Brazil, 2022 semi-finalists Morocco and debutants Haiti, with all three group games being played on the East Coast of the United States.

The campaign opened with a 1-0 win over Haiti in Boston on 14 June, John McGinn’s first-half goal ending Scotland’s wait for a World Cup victory since their last appearance in 1998.

Game two is against Morocco at the same venue on 19 June, before the group stage concludes with what promises to be a memorable night against Brazil at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami on 24 June.

Scotland’s route to the knockouts

With eight of the 12 third-placed teams also progressing to the round of 32, Scotland’s opening win over Haiti means they are already in a very strong position to qualify for the knockout stages for the first time in the country’s history.

Winning the group would set up a round of 32 tie on Monday 29 June at 6pm BST, shown live on ITV1 and STV.

Should Scotland progress from there, the round of 16 would follow on Sunday 5 July at 9pm BST, again on ITV1 and STV.

Scotland’s route to the quarter finals and beyond

A quarter final place would mean a match on Saturday 11 July at 10pm BST, with that game scheduled to be shown on BBC One.

The semi finals take place on 14 and 15 July, with Scotland’s potential semi final on Wednesday 15 July at 8pm BST, live on BBC One.

The World Cup final itself takes place at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on Sunday 19 July, with kick off at 8pm BST. Both the BBC and ITV will broadcast the final.

It would be the stuff of dreams, but after 28 years away, Scotland fans have every right to let their imaginations run wild this summer.
