Mensik v Zverev on TV: Live Streaming Details

Alexander Zverev and Jakub Mensik meet in the French Open semi final on Friday in a match that guarantees a first time Grand Slam finalist. Neither player has ever lifted a major title, and with Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz both eliminated, the path to the Musketeers’ Cup is wide open.

Zverev has been the model of consistency throughout the tournament, dropping just one set in his five matches. His quarter final win over teenage Spaniard Rafael Jodar was commanding, recovering from 5-2 down in the first set to win it on a tiebreak before cruising through 7-6(3), 6-1, 6-3.

The German is appearing in his fifth French Open semi final and will be desperate to avoid the heartbreak of 2021, 2022 and 2023, when he lost at this stage to Stefanos Tsitsipas, retired injured against Nadal, and was beaten by Casper Ruud. His clay record in 2026 stands at 17-4 and he arrives in excellent form.

Mensik’s run to the semi finals has been one of the stories of the tournament. The 20 year old Czech came into Roland Garros having lost in the fourth round in Madrid and the second round in Rome, but he has found another level entirely in Paris.

His five wins include consecutive five-set battles against Mariano Navone and Andrey Rublev, a four set comeback win over Alex de Minaur from a 6-0 down first set, and a composed straight sets victory over Joao Fonseca in the quarter finals. He is the youngest Czech player to reach a Grand Slam semi final.

The pair met at the Madrid Open earlier this season, with Zverev taking a tight three set win. That gives the German the head to head lead going into Friday, though Mensik has shown a 4-3 record against top five players and will not be short of confidence after his performances this fortnight.
