Channel 4 has ordered Utopia, a new conspiracy thriller from writer Dennis Kelly.
Made by Kudos, the six-part series follows a small group of strangers who meet online through their shared love of a cult graphic novel. When one of them comes into possession of the manuscript for its unpublished sequel, they discover it appears to predict some of the worst disasters of recent history, and they soon find themselves hunted by a shadowy organisation determined to get hold of it.
As the group goes on the run, they are pulled into a sprawling conspiracy, unsure who they can trust or what the manuscript really means. Channel 4 has lined it up as one of the bolder additions to its drama slate.
