Chris Carter has signed up to contribute to Back to Frank Black, a forthcoming book celebrating his cult series Millennium, completing the line-up of the retrospective.

Published by Fourth Horseman Press and edited by Adam Chamberlain and Brian A. Dixon, the book is a companion volume to the show rather than a new work of fiction. Carter, the series creator, has written its introduction, sitting alongside forewords from the show’s star Lance Henriksen and co-executive producer Frank Spotnitz.

Millennium ran for three seasons and sixty-seven episodes on Fox from 1996, with Henriksen as Frank Black, a former FBI profiler able to see into the minds of killers who works with the Bureau and the shadowy Millennium Group. The book grew out of the Back to Frank Black fan campaign, which has been pushing to return the character to the screen.

Alongside the contributions from Carter, Henriksen and Spotnitz, the volume gathers interviews with cast and crew, among them Glen Morgan, James Wong, Megan Gallagher and Klea Scott, plus a series of essays on the show. All proceeds are being donated to Children of the Night, a charity supported by Henriksen.
