Sony Entertainment Television has acquired the UK and Ireland rights to Hot in Cleveland, and will begin airing the comedy’s third season on September 14th. The first two seasons previously screened in the UK on Sky Living.
A hit sitcom from the US network TV Land, Hot in Cleveland follows three Los Angeles women whose flight is forced to land in Cleveland, where they decide to stay after discovering they are treated as far more glamorous than they ever were back home. Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves and Wendie Malick play the trio, with Betty White as Elka, the sharp-tongued caretaker of the house they rent.
The third season brings a run of guest stars, among them John Mahoney as Elka’s beau Roy, Jennifer Love Hewitt and Joe Jonas, as the women carry on juggling their love lives and careers in their adopted city.
