Channel 4 has released the trailer for The Tiger Who Came To Tea, which is set to premiere on Christmas Eve (Tuesday December 24th) at 7:30pm.
The Tiger Who Came to Tea tells the delightful story of what happens when the doorbell rings just as Sophie and her Mummy are sitting down to tea in the kitchen. Confronted with a very unexpected guest – a big, furry, stripy tiger – they invite him inside where he proceeds to eat everything in sight before making a timely exit, just before Daddy gets home.
The half-hour special, which is based on the book by Judith Kerr, is being produced by Lupus Films and stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Tamsin Greig, David Oyelowo, David Walliams, Paul Whitehouse and Clara Ross It was adapted for television by Joanna Harrison. Camilla Deakin, Ruth Fielding, Ann-Janine Murtagh, Katie Fulford and Mia Jupp are the executive producers.
