Sky One’s new Romesh Ranganathan comedy series The Reluctant Landlord will premiere on Tuesday October 30th at 10pm, it has been announced.
The Reluctant Landlord follows Romesh, whoe is left running the local pub after his mischievous father left it to him in his will. He has never wanted to be a landlord, but his mum feels it is the only way to keep his dad’s legacy alive and his wife and kids are kids are having a ball there. Romesh tries to offload the pub he doesn’t want, while his family use any amount of emotional blackmail to keep him at the heart of the place.
The semi-autobiographical comedy series, which was recently renewed for a second season, is produced by CPL Productions in association with What Larks! and Rangabee Productions and stars Romesh Ranganathan, Sian Gibson and Nick Helm. The Reluctant Landlord was commissioned by Sky One Director Adam MacDonald and Sky’s Head of Comedy Jon Mountague. The executive producers are Claire Whalley for What Larks Productions, and Jon Mountague and Tilusha Ghelani for Sky One.
