Sky1 has set a UK premiere date for the fourth season of The Flash, with the superhero drama returning on Tuesday October 17th at 8pm.
The series stars Grant Gustin as Barry Allen, the Central City forensic scientist who fights crime as the scarlet speedster. The new season opens with Barry gone, having sacrificed himself to the Speed Force at the end of the last run, leaving the rest of Team Flash to hold the city together in his absence. When Barry does return, his time away has left its mark, and he is not quite the man his friends remember.
This season also brings a change of villain. Rather than another speedster, the team faces Clifford DeVoe, known as the Thinker, a brilliant and calculating adversary who matches the Flash with his mind rather than his speed. Grant Gustin leads a returning cast that includes Candice Patton, Danielle Panabaker, Carlos Valdes and Tom Cavanagh.
