The fifth season of Australian drama series Wentworth Prison will receive its UK premiere on 5Star on Tuesday May 23rd at 9pm, it has been announced.

Wentworth Prison is set in the violent dangerous environment of the Wentworth Correctional Centre and follows struggles with inmates and provides insights into their fractious personal lives. The series is produced by FremantleMedia Australia and stars Nicole da Silva, Pamela Rabe, Kate Atkinson, Sigrid Thornton, Celia Ireland, Shareena Clanton, Katrina Milosevic, Robbie Magasiva, Socratis Otto, Tammy MacIntosh, Kate Jenkinson and Bernard Curry. The show’s fifth season picks up in the days following Bea Smith’s tragic death at the hands of Joan Ferguson.
