Exclusive: I’ve learned that MTV’s Viva channel does not hold nor do they have any plans to acquire the rights to the second or third seasons of Community from Sony Pictures Television. That leaves the comedy series without a UK broadcaster.
Community was created by Dan Harmon and follows the exploits of a group of students at the Greendale Community College. The series stars Joel McHale, Chevy Chase, Gillian Jacobs, Yvette Nicole Brown, Danny Pudi, Alison Brie, Donald Glover and Ken Jeong. Community is aired by NBC in the United States and was recently announced to be returning on March 15th, after having been pulled from the network’s schedule in December.
